ole Butch

John was in the fertilized egg business.
He had several hundred young layers (hens), called ‘pullets,’ and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.
He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.
This… took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing.
Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John’s favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch’s bell hadn’t rung at all!
When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, could run for cover.

To John’s amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn’t ring.
He’d sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.
John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.
Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making.
Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren’t paying attention.
Vote carefully this year and NEXT,
…..the bells are not always audible.

Anti-Mullah: SPOKEN FOR AN INCREASING MAJORITY OF AMERICANS

Anti-Mullah: SPOKEN FOR AN INCREASING MAJORITY OF AMERICANS

SPOKEN FOR AN INCREASING MAJORITY OF AMERICANS

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.

You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

"We're no longer a Christian nation"

"America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the world ,"America is mean- spirited. "Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

Sincerely,

Harold B. Estes

When a 95 year old hero of the "the Greatest Generation" stands up and speaks out like this, I think we owe it to him to send his words to as many Americans as we can. Please pass it on.

The US government has made a commitment to provide financial aid to Afghan provinces that have reduced or eliminated the production of opium. The United States signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday acoording to which it agreed to give $38.7 million to 27 Afghan provinces that eliminated or significantly reduced poppy production in the world’s biggest supplier country, AFP reported.

According to the MOU, the money will be handed over to Afghanistan’s counter-narcotics ministry, which will disperse the cash to the 27 different provinces to finance development or alternative crops. 1) The US & the CIA don’t want to “eliminate” the production of opium. What they want is to cut the production so that the price on CIA’s own heroin will stay high. They must cut the supply of opium somewhat to do this. 2) In Afghanistan, they’re doing this with the US taxpayers’ money and in the end they will harvest the enormous profits themselves, in the West. In short, we’re being lied to and we’re being scammed.

FW Engdahl: The Geopolitics behind the phoney US war in Afghanistan: The US military is in Afghanistan for two reasons. First to restore and control the world’s largest supply of opium for the world heroin markets and to use the drugs as a geopolitical weapon against opponents, especially Russia. That control of the Afghan drug market is essential for the liquidity of the bankrupt and corrupt Wall Street financial mafia.

NOW slowly, let it sink in.

Quietly, we go like sheep to slaughter.

Anybody?

Anything?

No?

Didn’t think so!

Bottom line. We’ve spent several hundred billion dollars in support of

Buy Silver or Gold? by Gary North

Buy Silver or Gold? by Gary North: "The best way to buy silver is to buy 90% silver coins: pre-1964. Take delivery. The sack of coins weighs over 56 pounds. Get them divided into two bags. I recommend dimes: more transactions per bag. But it doesn’t matter that much unless there is a complete monetary breakdown.

Gold coins are far more versatile. That is because they are worth more per unit of weight and volume. They are easier to hide. They are easier to move across a border."

Buy Silver or Gold? by Gary North

Buy Silver or Gold? by Gary North

etc etc
witchblade knife of Damocles.

The central banks now face a major problem. If gold’s price gets too high, the private bullion banks will be trapped. They owe gold to central banks, but they cannot afford to buy gold in the private markets in order to repay it to the central banks. If they are ever asked to repay, they will go bankrupt.

The central banks therefore will face exposure as being in collusion with a bunch of profit-seeking Enrons: busted and owing the government’s gold to the central banks. My guess is that central bankers knew from the beginning that they would never see this gold again. They just wanted a cover: "leasing" rather than "sales" of the government’s gold.

The downward pressure on gold is today no longer so great as it was a decade ago. The threat is reduced because the vaults are less full.

No central bank holds silver as a monetary reserve. No central bank is committed to buying or selling silver for public perception reasons. Silver has been de-monetized. It is no longer on the political radar. So, silver is closer to a true free market commodity. It is therefore more subject to the ups and downs of the business cycle.

You can make more money in silver when the market rises: no overhang of leased silver in central ban vaults. You can also lose more money when silver falls, along with the economy: no central bank buying of silver. etc etc

Lame Cherry: The Ugly Obamacan

Lame Cherry: The Ugly Obamacan

Just listen to the things Obama has come up with in his Afnamistan as reported by the Washington Times.

Rule 1: American Soldiers can not surprise terrorists with searches. The same terrorists in Obama's Afnamistan can not have their sleep disturbed, so there will be no night searches.
Warfare therefore according to Obama can only take place during the daylight hours.

Rule 2: When terrorists are going to be searched, the terrorists in Obama's friends in al Qaeda and the TalEEban must first be warned by an appropriate amount of time so as not to inconvenience the terrorists.

Rule 3: United States Soldiers can not conduct any military actual warfare searches against terrorists unless they are escorted and chaperoned by Afghanistan Army or Afghanistan Police forces, so as not to offend the fraudulent government of Afnamistan or the terrorists.

Rule 4: United States Soldiers must wait with weapons dropped in an nonthreatening position until terrorists are given the first live burst of shots at US Soldiers.

Rule 5: When terrorists are using human hostages as shields, hiding in villages or running into camps to avoid being killed by United States Soldiers, United States Soldiers can not return fire nor engage the terrorists when Afghanistan civilians are present.
United States Soldiers must first evacuate the local population in daylight before engaging the terrorists.

Rule 6: Only female United States Soldiers, who are not allowed in actual combat situations can search female terrorists.

Rule 7: United States Soldiers can only fire at terrorists while placing mines, IED's etc... to murder United States Soldiers. If the terrorists have already laid the IED's, they can not be fired upon as they leave the area.......

According to that rule, US Soldiers seeing armed terrorists must approach them with weapons dropped, notify them in a friendly manner they are under arrest, wait to be shot and take casualties first, and only then can they return fire, allow in their bomb explosive experts to be blown up trying to defuse the IED, and send home more dead US Soldiers.

Dennisranch’s Weblog

How many of us are part of the silent majority? This is by far the best explanation of the Muslim terrorist situation I have read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanay, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist. A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism. ‘Very few people were true Nazis,’ he said, ‘but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.’ We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the spectra of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and s. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers. The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ’silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people. The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’? History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun. Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late. As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts–the fanatics who threaten our way of life. Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and send this on and on and on! Let us hope that thousands, world wide, read this and think about it, and send it on – before it’s too late.

Emanuel Tanay, M.D.

Home on the Range: When it Gets Close to Home

Home on the Range: When it Gets Close to Home

I have a small pistol with me whenever I'm home. Either next to me by the computer, or in my holster if I'm in the shop or the yard where someone could approach me, there under my t shirt or denim jacket. Out and about I carry heavier caliber, but at home, just puttering around, I always felt comfortable with just a "pocket pistol" or something slightly bigger in a .380.

Then a few days ago someone kicked in my back door. In broad daylight. I had only minutes before gone out the front door to walk down and get the mail before driving off to the office. Barkley was napping in one of the front bedrooms where he can watch me as I get the mail and then leave (oh, did someone send us milk bones??) So I was already out the drive and on my way when it happened. Apparently Barkley scared them off, he likely rushing barking towards the back of the house when he heard the noise. The phone was ripped out of the wall and a coffee table was tipped over. (Probably as they crapped their drawers trying to get away from upset 100 pound black haired dog with big teeth.)

Expert Pediatrician Exposes Vaccine Myths

Expert Pediatrician Exposes Vaccine Myths

The Concept of Herd Immunity – BUSTED!

One of the primary arguments that is being used to justify this insane behavior is “herd immunity.”

The fact is that vaccination does NOT stop you from carrying bacteria or viruses in your nose, in your throat, in your intestines, in your airway, on your skin, or in your body.

But many do not understand the significance of this fact, and have been made to believe that if you’re vaccinated, you won’t carry viruses, and therefore, others will be protected because you’re vaccinated.

As it turns out, this belief is NOT based on scientific fact.

Dr. Palevsky explains:

“This whole concept of herd immunity is very interesting, because we were taught that herd immunity occurs because a certain percentage of a population gets an active illness. Therefore by a certain percentage of getting the active illness, they impart a protection onto the remaining part of the population that has not gotten the illness yet.

And so the herd that is getting the illness is shedding the illness and protecting those who have not gotten it.

In vaccine science, we are extrapolating or concluding that if we vaccinate a certain percentage of people, we are imparting protection on those who have not been vaccinated. And that has NOT been shown to be true, because the true herd immunity in theory is based on an ACTIVE DISEASE, and we know that despite what we’re taught, vaccination does not mimic the natural disease.

So we cannot use the same model of herd immunity in a natural disease in the vaccination policy. But unfortunately, we do use it even though it cannot be used because it doesn’t have scientific backing.

What’s most interesting to me is that the entire concept of herd immunity fails to acknowledge that there is a life cycle of the viruses and the bacteria all on their own, and that what turns them on and off may have nothing to do with the percentage of people who have been infected.

All you have to do is look at the SARS outbreak. That virus that we were supposed to fear didn’t infect 70 or 80 percent of the population, which would then impart herd immunity on the 20 or 30 percent that didn’t get the disease.

This is because the virus itself had a life cycle of its own. And so it came and went without any percentage of the population being protected. There wasn’t herd immunity, and yet the virus died out on its own.

We fail to include that viruses have a life cycle, and that they are in relationship to other organisms and to us. Something activates them and something actually stops them, and it has nothing necessarily to do with the percentage of people who would have the illness or who have been vaccinated.

… It is preposterous to think that a child who is vaccinated no longer carries the bacteria or the viruses that they have been vaccinated against. If, in fact, children are vaccinated, then why are parents and public health authorities afraid that non-vaccinated children are somehow carrying something that their children are not, when they should feel comfortable that their children are vaccinated?

You can’t have it both ways.

You can’t vaccinate believing that your children are protected and then feel that your children are not protected because somehow, some non-vaccinated child is carrying some secret organism that no one else is carrying.

It just doesn’t make any sense.”

Expert Pediatrician Exposes Vaccine Myths

Expert Pediatrician Exposes Vaccine Myths

What most people don’t know is that a virus is not “alive,” per se.

It is simply a piece or strand of either RNA or DNA. And even of itself, a virus can’t “do” anything.

In addition it is so tiny that it can only be seen under an electron microscope. It is much smaller than bacteria, which can only be seen in the regular microscope. So viruses cannot be isolated when you make a viral vaccine. All that can be isolated is the tissue, whether it’s human tissue or animal tissue that is believed to have been infected by that specific virus that you’re trying to isolate.

So when a viral culture or a set of cultures are made including the specific virus, you’re going to have the DNA of people or animals who were already infected. Those cells are then taken and grown on animal cells, whether it's monkey kidney cells or chicken embryo cells.

When mixed together, these cells will splice and recombine, which means that DNA from animal cells are going to mix with DNA from the known infected cells with the virus.

So by definition, a viral vaccine contains foreign animal and, even possibly, foreign human DNA. That’s why if you have an egg allergy, you shouldn’t get certain vaccines because it is known that there’s going to be egg protein in the vaccine.

So the question is, how safe is it to inject viral material that is embedded into the DNA of foreign DNA cells?

What studies have been done to actually test whether foreign DNA is getting into your body; whether it stays in your DNA; whether it gets into your brain; and whether there are foreign animal viruses that are inherently present in animal DNA to begin with?

The Dangers of Adjuvants

Adjuvants are used in vaccines in order to create a sufficiently strong immunological response. Adjuvants augment your immunological response.

But there is clear evidence that adjuvants, like aluminum and squalene impair your immune system.

So while you may be getting the antibodies desired, you are, at the same time, damaging your immune system. Particularly in children, this can set them up to develop chronic illness.

180 Degree Health - Heart Disease and Cholesterol

180 Degree Health - Heart Disease and Cholesterol: "Cholesterol levels are a pitiful indicator of heart disease risk to the point where they are really no indication at all. Mean serum cholesterol levels in France for example are almost identical to that of Americans, yet their heart disease risk is but a fifth of what America endures. This is just one of literally dozens of striking contradictions."

Since cholesterol levels couldn’t predict much of anything, it was subdivided into two categories of cholesterol types, HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. Now, we were told, there is good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. Getting a reading on your total cholesterol profile is just now becoming a common practice, and guess what? It’s already ancient history too.

Now we know that there are other subcategories of cholesterol that refine risk even further. There is pattern a and pattern b LDL, “bad” cholesterol. That’s right, there is bad, bad cholesterol, and good, bad cholesterol. Oh brother. Turns out our war on bad cholesterol was rife with friendly fire, destroying yet another type of cholesterol that supposedly protects us from heart disease.

Shale Gas Blasts Open World Energy Market

From UK Times

A stretch of coastline on the Texas-Louisiana border provides a startling glimpse of Europe’s energy future. There, where Lake Sabine empties into the Gulf of Mexico, a giant port was completed last year. Built at a cost of $1.5 billion (£900m), it was meant to be a vital new part of America’s energy infrastructure.

Giant tankers from places such as Qatar and Sakhalin island in Russia’s far east were meant to dock there to inject their cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) straight into the national pipeline network.

The Sabine Pass terminal was meant to take about one ship a day but since it opened for business 18 months ago only 10 ships have come in.

“This big shiny new terminal was one of the ones built as the answer to declining US gas production and increasing demand,” said Steve Johnson president of Waterborne Energy, a Texas energy consultancy. “Now it’s in mothballs.”

It is much the same story at America’s eight other LNG import terminals. They are running at only 10% of capacity.

“We have had so much new production come on stream that all of a sudden the role of these terminals has changed dramatically,” said Johnson. “They are getting the world’s leftovers.”

The reason is shale gas — a new and abundant source of natural gas, trapped in rock formations. Oil companies have known about it for decades but always dismissed it because it was too expensive and difficult to extract. In the past few years new technologies that pump water underground to fracture the rock and free the gas have been perfected. The breakthrough has opened a new frontier for the energy industry and turned long-held assumptions about the world’s dwindling supplies on their head.

Suddenly, America is awash with gas. Tony Hayward, chief executive of BP, said it had created a “a revolution in the gas fields of North America”. In a report this summer, the US potential gas committee increased its estimates of American reserves by a third. The Department of Energy now predicts that shale gas could meet half America’s demand within two decades and turn the country into a net exporter.

When the White House wants your opinion, they'll give it to you

The White House is letting it be known to Democrat political strategists and consultants that if they ever want to work in Washington again they'd better not be seen anywhere near a FoxNews Channel reporter or camera, so says Tom Elia.

One Democratic strategist said that shortly after an appearance on Fox he got a phone call from a White House official telling him not to be a guest on the show again. The call had an intimidating tone, he said.

The message was, "We better not see you on again,'' said the strategist, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to run afoul of the White House. An implicit suggestion, he said, was that "clients might stop using you if you continue.'
Hope and Change!

Oh, BTW, for next year's mid-term elections, "Hope and Change" is out. "Wing and a Prayer" is in.

Update: Tom Elia's source was a piece in the Chicago Tribune. But the White House is saying that the story is false.

America Take Can Pride In This Historic, Inspirational Disaster

[ed. note: for what it's worth, a rerun of a post that appeared here one year ago today.]

Although I have not always been the most outspoken advocate of President-Elect Barack Obama, today I would like to congratulate him and add my voice to the millions of fellow citizens who are celebrating his historic and frightening election victory. I don't care whether you are a conservative or a liberal -- when you saw this inspiring young African-American rise to our nation's highest office I hope you felt the same sense of patriotic pride that I experienced, no matter how hard you were hyperventilating with deep existential dread.

Yes, I know there are probably other African-Americans much better qualified and prepared for the presidency. Much, much better qualified. Hundreds, easily, if not thousands, and without any troubling ties to radical lunatics and Chicago mobsters. Gary Coleman comes to mind. etc etc

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF
A VERY SPECIAL COMPANION.

Marc Miller sent this yesterday ...

“ I, your ever-faithful companion because of my burden of my illness upon me, I realize the end of my life is near, so I hereby leave you my words for my Last Will and Testament. I have little to give you in a material way. So many of your human companions strive for material gain. You know how this divides families at the end. There is nothing that I have to bequeath except my love and faith. These I leave to all those who have loved me.

I ask for my owners to remember me always; but not to grieve for me too long. All my life I have tried to be a comfort to them in sorrow and in indeed joy in their life’s happiness. It is very painful for me to think that even in death, I am causing them pain.

Let them know that I have had a wonderful life but now I am growing ill and have much pain. I should not want my pride to sink to humiliation. It is time for me to say “Goodbye.” It will be very sorrowful to leave you but; not a sorrow for me to die. Animals do not fear death as humans do. We accept this as part of our lives. What will become of me after death? I will be in a place where I will always be young. A place that will be a paradise for me. Some people call that “Heaven” Yes, animals have souls. God has a special place in heaven just for us.

I have another request. Please find another animal to be at your side. I know no one can take my place, but I will feel better knowing you are taking special care of another pet. I will leave that pet my leash, or my collar. My favorite pillow, or the special place in the car. It would be a poor tribute to me, if no one ever followed me.

One last word of farewell dear ones…Whenever you think of me say to yourself that I was the one you loved; and how much you loved me. No matter how deep my sleep, I shall hear you and not all the power of death can keep my spirit from wagging a grateful tail. May the angels always watch over you as they watch over me. Remember…I will always be with you in love.

Dare Not Be Silent

November 3, 2009

We are to praise our country when it does right. We are to preach to our country when it does wrong. God’s people dare not be silent.

Let me be very frank with you about politics and Christian involvement. Christians should not identify the Christian faith with Democrats or Republicans. We need to be free to tell both parties to repent and get right with God.

Christians will be civil, but we will not be silent. Nathan warned David. Elijah preached to Ahab. Eleazer warned Jehosophat. Daniel preached to Nebuchadnezzar. Moses warned Pharaoh. John the Baptist preached to Herod.

We must declare to any government under which we live: Whatever is morally wrong is not politically right. And as long as I am talking on this subject, let me add that as long as abortionists kill babies and doctors practice infanticide I will not be silent.

Why Keep Geithner? | The Big Picture

Why Keep Geithner? | The Big Picture

A year ago it was revealed to the American people that our banking system was a legalized Ponzi scheme in which bank and insurance CEOs paid themselves billions of dollars in personal compensation to lend and insure assets with money they didn’t have to customers who couldn’t pay back the loans.

In those dark days between the fall of Lehman Brothers and before the presidential election, we were often carried through that time by the small glimmer of hope in that at least we would soon have a new leader who would hopefully fix this mess and punish those responsible.

Yet in the past 9 months, not only has the administration not fixed anything, they have made things much worse for anyone who isn’t a Wall Street banker. Therefore, we are past the point where anyone in power still gets the benefit of the doubt and the process of taking back our country for all citizens must begin now.

This is why I think we must ask if U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner is still the right person for the job. It has become clear recently that back in his previous role as New York Federal Reserve Governor, he unnecessarily gave billions of dollars of US tax money to banks and insurance companies with few strings attached. And it is now becoming clear that his lack of meaningful action is helping many of these same banks steal more by legalizing their most economically dangerous, socially destructive and self-enriching practices.

Yesterday on NBC’s Meet the Press, Secretary Geithner again endorsed House bank reform legislation that would allow, by my calculations, as much as 80%, or $475 trillion, of the bank’s $600 trillion in crooked insurance schemes to still be held in secret. It was and is the secret risks held in this very market that led to our collapse in the first place and continue to pose massive future risk to the global economy.

From Licensed investigator Susan Daniels to judge Carter Count Us Out

Dear Judge Carter:

I am the private investigator who contacted Dr. Orly Taitz when I found that Barack Obama has been using a bogus social security number for years, which is a felony. I have been a licensed investigator for almost fifteen years and recognized it immediately as fraudulent.

If you had allowed Discovery and required the SSA to release his alleged application for that number (and I do not believe such an application exists), you would have realized it, too. Numbers are issued to a person in the state where they are living. Between 1977-79 when it was issued, he was living in Hawaii not Connecticut.

I now realize that you always intended to dismiss the case, because that’s what you were ordered to do. You have bartered your integrity for a lofty position and a hefty pension. Shame on you.

The men and and women in the military will continue to die under the direction of someone who is not entitled to hold the position of Commander in Chief and who is nothing more than a Chicago thug with questionable loyalties.

Semper Fi? I think not.

Livermores Seven Trading Lessons | The Big Picture

Livermores Seven Trading Lessons | The Big Picture

Via Minyanville, we get this good version of Jesse Livermore’s trading rules, considered to be one of the best traders of all time:

Lesson Number One: Cut your losses quickly.

As soon as a trade is contemplated, a trader must know at what point in time he’ll be proven wrong and exit a position. If a trader doesn’t know his exit before he takes the entry, he might as well go to the racetrack or casino where at least the odds can be quantified.

Lesson Number Two: Confirm your judgment before going all in.

Livermore was famous for throwing out a small position and waiting for his thesis to be confirmed. Once the stock was traveling in the direction he desired, Livermore would pile on rapidly to maximize the returns.

There are several ways to buy more in a winning position — pyramiding up, buying in thirds at predetermined prices, being 100% in no more than 5% above the initial entry — but the take home is to buy in the direction of your winning trade – never when it goes against you.

Lesson Number Three: Watch leading stocks for the best action.

Livermore knew that trending issues were where the big money would be made, and to fight this reality was a loser’s game.

Lesson Number Four: Let profits ride until price action dictates otherwise.

“It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting.”

One method that satisfies the desire for profit and subdues the fear of a losing trade is to take one half of your profit off at a predetermined level, put a stop at breakeven on the rest, and let it play out without micromanaging the position.

Lesson Number Five: Buy all-time new highs.

The psychological merits of buying all-time or 52-week highs are immense and shouldn’t be discounted as a part of your overall strategy.

Lesson Number Six: Use pivot points to determine trends.

When going long, traders are continually looking for confirmation by assessing the strength of a move. Higher highs and higher lows are a solid indicator that a current uptrend is merely taking a slight pause, and the odds of higher prices are in their favor. These same pivot points are integral to drawing support and resistance lines to give traders their line in the sand. Taken together, trend lines and pivot points can enlighten a trader to a change in momentum, which may change the character of a trade.

Lesson Number Seven: Control your emotions.

Our goal as traders should be to also make a critical yet honest assessment of the areas we can improve so the bottom line will support our claims of truly being seasoned traders. Adhering to the time-tested rules of Jesse Livermore would be a great start for anyone.

Gold vs Silver..Why The Debate? (by Market Sniper) - Slope Of Hope with Tim Knight

Gold vs Silver..Why The Debate? (by Market Sniper) - Slope Of Hope with Tim Knight

Ratios

At one point it was even at 100:1. I now use 45:1 and 70:1 as switch points. See your tax accountant as to the benefits of such a program. Think 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange. For those who do not want to break the rear axle of your automobile moving your silver when it comes time to switch, think about using ETF’s that solely reflect the price of the two metals. There are a variety of ways to accomplish this. From being in just one or the other to being long one and short the other.

IF your objective is to accumulate the actual physical metals, do not use ETF’s as a substitute for physical ownership. Rather, take profits from your switching trades and purchase the actual metals themselves. Gold vs. Silver? No debate, accumulate both.

Lame Cherry: The Thirdworldness of Obama

Judge Carter is a very bright justice and yet in all of this he has appeared being tainted by Mr. Obama associations to be nothing but 3rd World.
For starters, Robert Bauer as this blog reported is married to Anita Dunn who works under David Axelrod as the pictures reveal quite intimately. Mr. Bauer is also Mr. Obama's attorney who works for the international law firm, Perkins Coie.

The problem there starts in Judge Carter just hired a law clerk named Sid Velamoor who worked for Perkins Coie. In such a national case as this, Judge Carter is not that inept to have done this career ruining maneuver in hiring someone from a law firm who has had received most of the 2 million dollars Mr. Obama has spent on the Birther case.

This blog noted that something odd appeared to be going on, a feeling with Judge Carter, that it looks as if this was happening in Kenya, that it looked like a Judge with a stinking fish and was auctioning off to a high bidder in sometimes a Hillary Clinton was making pillow talk, and at other times, it was Bearick Obama.
The end result is the appearance looks like the most powerful man in America forced Judge Carter to hire a clerk to write a decision throwing out Obama's case, and the clerk worked for Obama's personal attorney.

I have always noted someone like Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters when gas was 4 dollars a gallon. He has children he can afford. He has his business. He has money to pay for college etc... So when it costs another thousand dollars a year for gas, he just pays it.
Poor people have to make decisions in buying gas to go to work or to not eat meat, fruit for that week, which weakens their physical condition, they get sick over time, then can't work, and then lose what home they have, and end up in government housing never able to get on their feet again.

Trends I'm Watching

Trends I'm Watching

Presently, Ben Bernanke and Tim Geithner have become the quintessential short-term decision makers. They explicitly "do whatever it takes" to "solve one problem at a time" and deal with the unintended consequences later. It is too soon for history to evaluate their work, because there hasn't been time for the unintended consequences of the "do whatever it takes" decision-making to materialize.

In the context of the recent economic crisis, a highly motivated and organized banking lobby has demonstrated enormous influence. Bankers advance ideas like, "without banks, we would have no economy." Of course, there was a public interest in protecting the guts of the system, but the ATMs could have continued working, even with forced debt-to-equity conversions that would not have required any public funds. Instead, our leaders responded by handing over hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to protect the speculative investments of bank shareholders and creditors. This has been particularly remarkable, considering that most agree that these same banks had an enormous role in creating this mess which has thrown millions out of their homes and jobs.

...Americans understand that the Washington-Wall Street relationship has rewarded the least deserving people and institutions at the expense of the prudent. They don't know the particulars or how to argue against the "without banks, we have no economy" demagogues. So, they fight healthcare reform, where they have enough personal experience to equip them to argue with Congressmen at town hall meetings. As I see it, the revolt over healthcare isn't really about healthcare, but represents a broader upset at Washington. The lack of trust over the inability to deal seriously with the party goers feeds the lack of trust over healthcare.

Why I Believe in God | The Scriptorium Daily: Middlebrow

Why I Believe in God | The Scriptorium Daily: Middlebrow

So why do I know God exists?

Given the limits of a short essay, I will only be able to point in the direction of my favorite reasons, but there are many books that provide deeper justification and further explication of these reasons. On a popular level favorite books that were helpful to me include J.P. Moreland’s Scaling the Secular City and A.E. Taylor’s Does God Exist? Readers looking for something more difficult would do well to check out the work of Richard Swinburne of Oxford University.

Of course, I don’t believe in God at first because I sat and thought about Him. I believe in God, because I encountered Him. I prayed and had an experience of Him from a very early age. He has answered my prayers and forced me to change my behavior. This every day direct mental experience of His existence is fundamentally why I know God is real.

If I did not have it, I would have little motivation to wonder about Him, but I sought Him and I found Him . . . or better He found me! Of course, despite my apparent sanity (from my own biased point of view!), I might be mad or deceived. God might be an illusion in my head, despite the sense that there is a different mental texture to what His voice is saying.

Once challenged in his beliefs by reasonable questions, only a fool or a saint would be sure that he was not deluding himself. I know I am no saint and I hope not to be a fool, so I had to ask if my experiences were real and if I had correctly interpreted them.

It is important, therefore, that I have every day indirect experience of His existence. The community of believers around me matters. I am not alone in thinking God is real or speaks to people. This does not prove that God exist, but the billions of people over long periods of time who have believed in God does suggest that at the very least I am not the victim of some private delusion!

So I speak to God and He speaks to me and millions of living and otherwise rational human beings share this experience. It is what I would anticipate if God is out there. Why do some people fail to share that experience?

I don’t know, but absence of evidence in a few does not suggest the problem is in those who believe.

Third, there are philosophical arguments that suggest the existence of God is either necessary or reasonable. For example, the existence and nature of the cosmos suggests the existence of a rational God. The universe appears to have order and design and I am not persuaded that merely naturalistic processes can account for this order and design. Whatever the process God used to create, and only the arrogant believe they have this all worked out, the fundamental nature of that creation suggests a plan.

Fourth, morality persuades me that God exists. The long trajectory of human history demonstrates a common morality behind the blind spots of any particular culture. There is a common way that most people in most places and most times have followed. This law suggests a lawgiver.

Fifth, the existence of gratuitous beauty convinces me God exists. When I traveled above the clouds for the first time with my oldest son, he told me that it was beautiful and neither of us was surprised. Wherever we looked, we saw beauty and this was not a beauty that could have been hardwired into us by any natural process. Wherever we look as human even to the furthest reaches of the cosmos beauty is there waiting for us.

Sixth, the world of Ideas points in the direction of the existence of the Mind of God. As a Platonist, I am convinced that numbers and ideas are real. There is a metaphysical world that cannot be reduced to the material. This does not prove God exists, but makes His existence more plausible to me.

Finally, love suggests to me that God is real. As Plato points out in his masterful dialogue Symposium love is surely of something. Humanity possesses a love for the Good, the True, and the Beautiful that demands a proper object. Only God is great enough to be a sufficient end for all the longing in the human heart. It might be that the universe is perverse and has given us this great longing without any means of fulfilling it, but there is no good reason to take this withering view. The sensible, indeed the hopeful response, is to assume that like hunger or thirst this longing too can be find satisfaction in reality.

My friends who don’t believe in God might claim that I believe in God, partly, because I want to do so. This is true. The existence of a good God is such an awesome, exciting, and hopeful idea that I am rooting for it. There is nothing irrational with giving good news the benefit of the doubt, if you don’t sacrifice your mind to do so.

You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

HIMknowledgey Ministry - Revive Us Again

HIMknowledgey Ministry - Revive Us Again: "329.......The Love Of God"

329.......The Love Of God

The Love of God, hymn #329, has three verses, the first two of which were written by Frederick Martin Lehman in 1917 in Pasadena, California. Verse number three, comes from a Jewish poem, Haddanut, written in Aramaic in 1050 by Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai, a cantor in Worms, Germany. The music was arranged by his daughter Claudia Faustina Lehman Mays. She was born July 15, 1892 in Griswold, Iowa. One of nine children, she harmonized many of the songs written by her father. She died February 19, 1973 in Medford, Oregon.

Lehman was working in a packing-house, lifting and moving as much as thirty tons of lemons and oranges a day which were then packed into crates for shipment. The previous Sunday, he had heard a heart-warming sermon on God's love. He could hardly contain himself. In fact, so much so, that he had found it hard to get to sleep. The next morning, the thrill of the previous evening had not left him and as he was eating breakfast, the first words to this song came to him. On the way to work, more followed. At work, during short intervals of inattention (break time), more words came which he jotted down until he had completed the first two verses. When he got home, he went to the old upright piano and composed the melody for the two verses and chorus. However, a hymn has to have three verses to be complete. As he tried to write the third, he found the words were not falling into place as had the first two. As he tried to figure out what to do, he remembered about the poem he had heard at a camp meeting. The profound depths of the lines moved him to preserve them for future use and it was not until coming to California that this urge was fulfilled. He knew that he had saved the card with the poem but where was it now? His search was soon rewarded because he had used it for a bookmark. As Lehman again read the words, his heart was thrilled just as had happened when he heard them originally. This time he noticed some smaller print that told this story, "These lines were found in translated form on the walls of a patient's room in an insane asylum after the patient's death." As he set the words to the third verse to the tune, he found they matched exactly. God knew when he had the poem, written in 1050, that it would be translated into English and brought to America at the exact time Lehman was going to need it to finish this hymn. That is 867 years from the time the words were written and they traveled half-way around the world to be joined with this song. Since then, this hymn has been translated into at least 18 languages. This hymn was first published in Songs That Are Different, Volume 2, 1919.

Frederick Martin Lehman was born August 7, 1868 in Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. He came to America at the age of 4 with his family, settling in Iowa where he lived most of his childhood. He came to Christ at age 11, as he relates, "One glad morning about 11 o'clock while walking up the country lane, skirted by a wild crab-apple grove on the right and an Osage (American Indian from Missouri) fence, with an old white-elm gate in a gap at the left, suddenly Heaven let a cornucopia (abundant) of glory descend on this 11 year old lad. The wild crab-apple grove assumed a heavenly glow and the Osage fence, an unearthly luster. That old white-elm gate with its sun-warped boards, gleamed and glowed like silver bars to shut out the world and shut him in with the 'form of the forth,' just come into his heart. The weight of conviction was gone and the paeans (a song) of joy and praise fell from his lips." Lehman studied for the ministry at Northwestern College in Naperville, Illinois, and pastored at Audubon, Iowa; New London, Indiana; and Kansas City, Missouri. The majority of his life was devoted to writing sacred-songs. In 1911, he moved to Kansas City, where he helped found the Nazarene Publishing House. He died February 20, 1953 in Pasadena, California.

Vinegar and Honey: "'The Love of God,' because they are so true:

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

This was written by Frederick M. Lehman in 1917, based on the Jewish poem, 'Haddamut,' written by Cantor Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai, in 1050, in Worms, Germany."
