"It is now time for Western Christians and non-Christians alike ..."
to acknowledge that men such as Alexis de Tocqueville were correct
and various concepts such as free expression, freedom of association, and other hallowed concepts of Western civilization simply do not translate outside of Western Christian culture. What was once theoretical is now empirical thanks to more than sixty years of evidence that strongly suggests that human liberty is simply not compatible with non-Christian, non-Western culture. -- Vox Popoli: The chickens begin to roost

Mme Scherzo:
" Women have served all these centuries as looking glasses possessing the magic and delicious power of reflecting the figure of a man at twice its natural size.

Sore-Throated Sonnets of Regurgitated Reasoning | Whenever Richard Cory went down town, We people on...:
Whenever Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
“Good-morning,” and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich – yes, richer than a king –
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

Light Is More Important Than The Lantern - Poem by Nizar Qabbani
Light Is More Important Than The Lantern - Poem by Nizar Qabbani:
Light Is More Important Than The Lantern by Nizar Qabbani
Light is more important than the lantern,
The poem more important than the notebook,
And the kiss more important than the lips.
My letters to you
Are greater and more important than both of us.
The are the only documents
Where people will discover
Your beauty
And my madness.

The phrase, “Defining deviancy downward, ” has always left me unsettled.
Isn’t deviancy a downward spiral from proper behavior, anyway?
More correctly, deviancy has been redefined upward, and with Sisyphean effort on the part of intellectuals, the press, and entertainment culture of the west, deviancy has not only been pushed up the hill against howling protest, but has been exalted to the highest pinnacle and placed upon an altar to be worshiped.
It is the new secular religion, which is actually the oldest religion of humanity. - the religion of Satan, of Cain, of Sodom and Gomorrah, of Baal and Beelzebub, of Molech and Mohammed.
It is the opiate of the mass media.
The First Person in the unholy trinity of Me, Myself and I.
It is the Religion of Tolerance.
